How do you have a wee when wearing bib shorts?
( expecting stick but…) I get budget kit from China, for someone of my age (50) & just commuting & weekend riding they are more than adequate, & at around £20 for bib shorts & jersey, cheap as chips with some pretty good looking designs if you Scout around
Just ordered the Aeron Speed kit. Thanks guys for this very helpful comparison.
Great detailed comparison , helps massively to us .
How could the preppy guy in the lumberjack shirt ever think that his nose ring looks cool and how could the guy on the right in grey think that his scraggly beard looks good? Get rid of the nose ring and trim the beard guys…
Don't save on bib shorts, you'll regret it. If the bibs that fit you best cost €200, fuck off and buy them. If your bum hurts after 1hr of riding, the money saved won't make it up.
Dhb vs Castelli vs Rapha
i like that you can get a tan through a jersey, about time
I always buy team jerseys on a sale, perfect fit for budget price
Gwyneth••••••••
my philosophy is to buy mid to high range pair of bibs and low end jerseys. I find the bibs to be much more comfy than the jerseys the higher you go in price.
Good to know the difference. I was wondering that. But if it's an advertisement you should say so.
Great explanation on the differences we get of the diff tier kits 👍
Would be nice if we can get a vid on the products under DHB Aeron Lab as there's a few type of bibs and jerseys under that label
For somewhat less than 25 pounds, you could buy cycling jerseys from Decathlon with full length zips, 5 rear pockets, a nicer fabric, nicer colours and design and snugger fit. And 25 pounds is not entry-level for a jersey, 5-10 pounds sounds more like it.
thx for the sponsored garbage
"one of the more simpler" is shit English. Doesn't exactly resonate professionalism. Can't watch a vid when the first sentence is already a disaster.
They're not "cuffs" around the sleeves, they're grippers.
Drinking game: Drink every time the word "aerodynamic" is said!
On a more serious note, a very nice video!
Could you do this around Rapha products? Core vs Classic v Pro Team? Thanks, great vid
Just be upfront and call this an infomercial by dhb and Wiggle. Awful fake journalism, you sellouts. I've watched the first 90 seconds and I'm done, out.
I know someone locally who make jerseys for a living. I got a custom fit and he let me use a custom design plus bib short at $25 shipped. His 'better' version with better material is about $25 without bib, but I can't see any point when I got mine fitted very nicely.
Best value compared to anything out there.
The dhb stuff might be great and I understand why Wiggle are trying to break into the market like Ribble etc BUT you’re wasting your time. Leave clothing to the dedicated brands. You’ll never be Castelli/Assos and no ones paying premium prices for dhb.
If I have a top-end Colnago,with Campagnolo SR EPS,why would I ride cheap kit?
I wear team-issue Santini,Etxeondo,and Parentini,and some X-Bionic.
Campagnolo have come back, too,so thing's are looking great!
I use Wiggle for some Etxeondo, although I have to go abroad for the bright colours,
as I don't do bland black,or fluoro yellow.
I have just bought the pro-issue Le Coq Sportif yellow,Tour de France jersey!
I never pay full prices, and get deals!
So this Video is just a DHB commercial? Disappointed.
£110 for a DHB jersey lol You can get a Castelli Sanramo for that price!
Im so glad this video totally wasnt sponsored by DHB/Wiggle.
James looks friendly……
Great show, no over acting like the Rainbow gcn show, please carry on the olive vlogs but do even better👍it’s coming home…..
yeah, alright. except: if you buy the premium stuff, don't try using this for everyday riding. it just won't survive this kind of intense use and the repeated dive into your washing mashine. one of my racing socks was almost done after one single intense ride.
Good video. Great to know the differences. I have used Aeron for sometime now and found it very good. Not sure for my riding if extra money spent on Aeron Speed is justified. Thanks CW
Wiggle are terrible at explaining what models have what type of fit. Just generic names. For that reason I didn't get dhb. I simply didn't know what to get and couldn't be bothered possibly returning to UK from Denmark. Sadly this lengthy video doesn't resolve the issue. Lots of models fall outside of what is discussed here.
IMPSPORT use a three tier system for their new custom kit range. Their top tier T3 was used by the Scotish commonwealth games quad. How many medals did they win. Now there's a kit equal in quality and function to ASSOS and Castelli. I'm talking their new range, not their previous kit ranges.
25 quid is too high a price point for the low category. You can get an addidas breathable cycling Jersey for 15 quid and many other brands also do cheaper options for a lot less than 25 quid.
Not sure where Wiggle are coming from with their Aeron Lab kit…The ASV kit felt premium with a professional fit while staying in a good price bracket. The Aeron Lab is on the level as Castelli and other brands which I would rather invest in. My guess is that the price is high in order to bring down with discounts in the future. Keep DHB what it is known for….affordable kit.
Any recreational cyclist listing to this rubbish are saps. Wear something that fits you and be done with it. You cant buy yourself into being fit, if you think clothes are going to make you faster, thats sad.
DHB sponsored the spot. Not really a genuine review.
So the more you pay the tighter the fit? ;+)
I found this very informative. Product placement video or not, this is the kind of product detail and comparison which is not readily accessible, and especially within a single brand, the differences between price points and performance vs budget options are not always obvious.
And let's face it, a lot of us shop at Wiggle, and dhb is a popular brand – we can scoff at the commercial nature of it, but this will genuinely be relevant to a lot of cyclists. More of the same, please.
wonderful comparison. liked.
Could you cover aero bike light options please. thank you. its like the aerobike and tt bike world don't think we cyclist bike at dawn or dusk.
All these have a place but I recommend to just buy smth cheaper
Meh. I completely lost interest in this when you started spouting marketing garbage like "DHB use a three-tier fit system." It's obvious from that point that you're just saying whatever they want you to say, rather than expressing your own opinions. I'm not gonna watch a 25-minute ad (or, if you prefer, a 25-minute video that is mostly specific to one brand).
Dear lord, is this what 'journalism' is reduced too. Flogging Wiggle clothing. To quote a certain President, "Sad."
Go check my brand http://www.sperosportswear.com
Im a young entrepreneur passionate about cycling. I hope you like it
I felt a bit uncomfortable when they started touching each others pads!
Some people are getting angry at your video! Wow. Chill out folks its free information and a good breakdown of the dhb range…which might be very useful to more than just a few cyclists out there. Jeez
A constructive criticism might be some actual testing on the bike and feedback from this. Keep up the good work.
