Should you buy this CHEAP MTB TOOL KIT?! – X-Tools 18 Piece Tool Kit Review
Today I am going to show you the X-Tools 18 Piece Tool Kit – I bought it on a whim when I went online to Chain Reaction Cycles to buy more tyre sealant and saw that it was on sale – and will be until the end of August.
It’s a great kit for the money and whilst the box is a bit cheap, you can’t complain at the value!
Buy it here:
Available Worldwide.

I just might treat myself!! I don’t have any bike tools at all!! Another great video.
Nice job kid! Cheers!
Shouting at the box as your trying to close it seems to work in my experience, Along with smashing it a few times, how I've not broken mine yet i'll never know.
another banger of a video!
I think i was destined to watch this as i was looking at tubeless and a tool kit for a while and this just lands on my lap! cheers fellah! Love the change of music as well (I think you changed it) If you're interested im using epedemic sounds https://www.epidemicsound.com if you're wanting to spend some money on that sort of stuff then its fairly decent although free is better haha i think its a tenner a month. anyways cheers for the recomendation for the tool kit!
Cheers dude!
you sohuld use JiIS screwdrivers on Rd screws not Phillips, Shimano use JIS, but Hex is starting to get common now.
I would rather buy each tool separately & buy hte best of each tool
3:52 the rod goes into the axle, the thin is for thin quick releases.
the one without is to go over without removing quick release.
they are for extra support.
I use Abbey tools Crombie dual sided.
it's best to use a separate tool or use bits, if you got a proper ratchet, cus using adjustable wrench is not optimal, it's easier to drop tools this way.
at least your cassette tool is a bit, so you can connect it to a torque wrench or ratchet.
the problem with most kits is that you might get tools you will never use, or tools you already have. I don't know how good or bad X tools are, I don't know the material used or the tolerances.
alot of cheap tools are junk, but I cna't comment on that cus I haven't tried X-tools
but cone spanners are quite short, so nto as good leverage as I would like.
Great video Justin, I was chuckling away watching you attempt to close the box as everything kept falling out! A quick question, what are the thin cone spanners for? I have them in my Bikehut kit and don't have a clue! Cheers mate, looking forward to the trail building video!
