Should you buy this CHEAP MTB TOOL KIT?! – X-Tools 18 Piece Tool Kit Review

Today I am going to show you the X-Tools 18 Piece Tool Kit – I bought it on a whim when I went online to Chain Reaction Cycles to buy more tyre sealant and saw that it was on sale – and will be until the end of August.

It’s a great kit for the money and whilst the box is a bit cheap, you can’t complain at the value!

Buy it here:

Available Worldwide.

  1. another banger of a video!

I think i was destined to watch this as i was looking at tubeless and a tool kit for a while and this just lands on my lap! cheers fellah! Love the change of music as well (I think you changed it) If you're interested im using epedemic sounds https://www.epidemicsound.com if you're wanting to spend some money on that sort of stuff then its fairly decent although free is better haha i think its a tenner a month. anyways cheers for the recomendation for the tool kit!

    Cheers dude!

  2. 3:52 the rod goes into the axle, the thin is for thin quick releases.
the one without is to go over without removing quick release.
    they are for extra support.
I use Abbey tools Crombie dual sided.
it's best to use a separate tool or use bits, if you got a proper ratchet, cus using adjustable wrench is not optimal, it's easier to drop tools this way.
at least your cassette tool is a bit, so you can connect it to a torque wrench or ratchet.

  3. the problem with most kits is that you might get tools you will never use, or tools you already have. I don't know how good or bad X tools are, I don't know the material used or the tolerances.
alot of cheap tools are junk, but I cna't comment on that cus I haven't tried X-tools
but cone spanners are quite short, so nto as good leverage as I would like.

  4. Great video Justin, I was chuckling away watching you attempt to close the box as everything kept falling out! A quick question, what are the thin cone spanners for? I have them in my Bikehut kit and don't have a clue! Cheers mate, looking forward to the trail building video!
